Sedat Demirsoy, the adapter and director of the one-man play, has successfully presented the shortest way to get to know Bukowski. Bukowski, played by Orçun Çıtır, is, on the one hand, a philosopher of women and the street, and on the other hand, an abusive, alcoholic, tramp of letters. What he writes is the expression of a non-hypocritical sense of morality that pushes your limits. Bukowski describes his relationship with the system as follows: “They say you have to fight for freedom. I know that. But I didn’t have to fight the Japanese, Italians, Germans or Russians for my freedom. I fought the Americans; the family institution, the schoolyard, the bosses, the street ladies, the friends, the system itself.”

Hibbert, who has been living in Izmir since 2009, was born in Connecticut. Lived in South Dakota, Utah, Kansas, Philadelphia; He studied piano when he was young and played double bass in the symphony orchestra during his university years. The artist, who has been a radio programmer in his country for years, continued to play in various rock bands until 1996; He is currently a member of the garage rock band Polu from Izmir.

Hibbert; While turning his solo performance, which consists of acoustic songs that have left their mark on country, folk and rock history, into a one-man comedy show, he does not refrain from including his life story and Izmir adventure.

It seems certain that we will often have fits of laughter when listening to good music.
